For nearly two decades, Adopt A Needy Family has been assisting families year round with programs such as utility supplements and back-to-school projects but our main focus is helping needy families during the Christmas season.  Every year we look to partners like you who give of themselves to help others.

In honor of our founder Fr. James Hubert’s life work we look forward to assisting families in the poorest and neediest neighborhoods of San Antonio.   This season, we invite you to consider supporting our efforts through the adoption of a family for Christmas, or through a monetary gift that we will use to purchase gifts for needy families you sponsor.  Without Adopt A Needy Family, these families most likely not be able to celebrate Christmas, the most joyous season of them all.

Families in need are identified through social workers and counselors in schools and churches and other nonprofit agencies.  AANF staff personally visits the homes to confirm they meet our economic requirements. We also insure that families are not duplicating services with other organizations.

$50 gets you all of the above.

AANF a proud supporter of Communities in School and the Stuff the Bus Project, last year Communities in Schools collected 24.5 tons of school supplies with a value of nearly $300,000!

Each year schools, doctors offices, businesses, restaurants and individual families join us to assist families in need.  We serve many size families, the estimated cost to help is listed below:

To buy for Small Family 1 – 4 people is estimated to cost $250 per family

To buy for Medium Family 5 – 7 people – $450 per family

To buy for Large Family 7 – 10 people – $750 per family

To buy for Extra Large Family 11+ – $1000+ per family
