Our Mission:
To Provide Assistance to Poor and Needy Families.
San Antonio schools, such as Mount Sacred Heart, St. George Episcopal, plus businesses and individuals help support the neediest families in the poorest neighborhoods by adopting families or offering financial support. Since our founding in 1999, we have assisted thousands of families throughout the years in San Antonio and Bexar County.
With the help and support of the community, Adopt A Needy Family has raised over three million dollars in cash and gifts which is given to families most in need.
With the generous hearts of the community, we have been helping the most needy in Bexar County and the surrounding area for over 22 years .
Each year we help over 1000 children and their parents with their overall needs to ensure they can celebrate the holiday season with dignity.
There Are Families In Need… Will You Help?
The families served by Adopt A Needy Family are in need of the most basic necessities, such as bedding, detergent, hygiene products and clothing. Since the program takes part during Christmas, volunteers buy toys for the children and gifts for parents since they would not be able to afford them.
What is unique about Adopt A Needy Family, is that this program assists the entire family.
Not all families list all their needs on their wish lists. We ask donors to please step back and see what they would want and need if they were in the same situation.
Every year Adopt A Needy Family assists hundreds of families through out Bexar County, we depend on donors, volunteers and adopters like you to make out program succeed. This year, will you be able to help make a families Christmas dream come true?
We wake up in the morning and follow our routine; brush our teeth, take a shower, shave, brush our hair and continue the day without giving it a second thought.
For over nineteen years, Adopt A Needy Family has been assisting families year round with programs such as utility supplements and back-to-school projects but our main focus is helping needy families during the Christmas season. Every year we look to partners like you who give of themselves to help others.
The honor of continuing to further the mission of Adopt A Needy Family is carried out by a community of individuals that take a genuine interest in the needs of the poor.
