“I have been fortunate to be involved with the Adopt A Needy Family organization since it was formed in 1999. Prior to obtaining our 501 (C) 3 status the program was run by a generous caring individual Father James Hubert. Father was my religious teacher in grade school at Mount Sacred Heart School in San Antonio. Father achieved much of his passion for assisting the needy through his introduction to Mother Theresa in 1967. Since that time Father James always sought out the most needy families and found ways to provide both counseling and financial assistance to them. It is with that spirit and his example of serving the poor, through his “Adopt A Needy Family” program, that we continue his legacy of touching those in need.” —Michael Weiss
