What started as a small school project at Mount Sacred Heart School in the 1990s has grown into a year-round undertaking. It began when Father James Hubert asked the students of Mount Sacred Hearts to bring a wrapped gift to share with a needy child who may otherwise not receive a gift at Christmas time.

The legacy of Father James has survived and the program has expanded to many other schools, businesses and individuals participating to help the less fortunate. We are proud to serve families whose children are in schools such as Stonewall- Flanders, Columbia Heights, Adams and Gilbert Elementary as well as others in the San Antonio Independent School District and also Catholic Worker House, St. Vincent de Paul, the Daughters of Charity, American Sunrise and Communities in Schools of San Antonio.

It is with that spirit and his example of serving the poor, through his Adopt A Needy Family program, that we continue his legacy of touching those in need.
