Father James passed away on December 5, 1999. One of his greatest wishes was to continue and expand the Adopt A Needy Family program into a year round undertaking. We formed a non profit 501(c)3 in December of 2000, and received a generous property donation and used previous savings from Fr. James' program at Mount Sacred Heart, which provided the foundation for Adopt A Needy Family.

 For over 30 years, the lives of children were forever changed by the love and compassion of Father James Hubert. All those who came in contact with him, saw a man that cared for those in need. They were touched by the diligence he displayed in seeing that those needs were met, in order to bring hope to the eyes of a child, or to give a mom or dad the encouragement they needed in supporting their family.
